Price updates: So, there we have it. The price war has continued beyond pre-orders. The lowest recorded price was £174.00. The lacklustre market has created price drops, forcing manufactures to resell cheaper and cheaper. Desktop consoles and video games have witnessed similar drops. 3DS game prices have fallen from £35.99 to match DS game prices.

The new DS has major advantages over previous versions, but with three versions on shop shelf's: DSi £99.99, DSi XL £139.99 and 3DS £199.99, the cheaper price will win over customers as shown below.

Nintendo officially suggested a retail price of $249.99 in the U.S, yet for the UK it was £NIL (not revealed), leaving the door open for retailers to have a full on Call of Duty blood bath console price war.
